The S-Ateen Fellowship welcomes young people, ages 12 to 19, who have been affected by the sexual behavior of a relative or friend. Our meetings follow S-Ateen’s Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions. They are conducted separately from those of S-Anon, and are guided by certified, adult S-Ateen Group Sponsors. S-Ateen meetings are available at International and Regional Conventions, local recovery events, local S-Ateen groups, and via the S-Ateen Online Community.
A Note to Parents – An S-Anon Member Shares
What S-Ateens find very helpful is the opportunity to be with other young people who are facing similar challenges. Together they benefit from applying the principles of the S-Ateen program as they learn new, healthy ways to live and interact with others. That’s the bottom line, and that’s the focus of the S-Ateen fellowship.
Like us S-Anons, young people benefit from recovery – even more so than adults because they have a lifetime ahead to make better choices for themselves, and eventually their own families. I hope you too will find the courage to invite your children to attend S-Ateen. I have three children in the S-Ateen fellowship, and it has made a tremendous difference in their lives as individuals as well as our family life together.
